While traveling in Cyberspace on the World Wide Web,
I have found that it is much like any other vacation. It's always
nice to come home!
It's a comfort to have my Homepage to return to;
do the 'laundry', repack my bags, and start out again!
The following is my TripGuide
to places I visit most often.
You are invited to come along.
Genealogy Resources on the Internet
The Internet has become an invaluable tool to family tree researchers.
The sources are innumerable. These basic links will get you started
and keep you searching for a long time....
- The HELM'S Genealogy
Tool Box will show you where to locate many of them.
-
A "Must Have" for all researchers are the GENWEB Projects
US GenWeb. and WORLD
GenWeb
Listings of Genealogy and Historical Societies, Cemeteries, Churches,
and more
..... and what these resources have available.
Some areas are making their Databases available online.
-
The general purpose index offered by "YAHOO"
leads to many libraries, museums, universities, and government agencies
useful to genealogy research.
It's a good place to start looking for anything you may want to
find on the WWW.
-
The two Genealogy database programs i use are
PAF (Personal Ancestral File)
available from
Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints "Mormons"
and Broderbund's Family TREEMAKER
My Roots & Branches
I am finally making some progress on getting my family tree information
online for the world to see;
just in case someone sees a link they can 'Relate' to.
Searching family roots is not simple task when
your Father's name was MILLER....and your Mother's was JONES.
My main focus, however, is tracing the family legend
AM I related
to Lizzie BORDEN,
through my GrGrGrandfather,
Albert
G. BORDEN
For some time I had displayed my entire Genealogy on this page.
It seems the certain Genealogical Websites that Charge Fees for such information,
have attached my site to theirs without my permission.
So I have chosen to no longer expose this data.
Other Genealogy Projects
In 1988 a fellow firefighter from the Rapids Vol. Fire Co. asked me
to assist him
in locating some information about a former leading citizen from
the hamlet of Rapids,
in the Town of Lockport.
That search involved meeting some people from the Town of Lockport
Historical Society;
they invited me to be a guest speaker at one of their meetings.
Shortly after that presentation, I was asked by the local Lockport
newspaper, Union-Sun & Journal,
to write a feature article about Joseph Edwards,
which subsequently appeared on the first page of the second section;
with a byline.
My Name is Sharon .... (aka )
....Shazza is a commonly used Australian nickname for 'Sharon'...
No..im not Australian
... but I have several chat friends there ...and that is what they
call me....
My reality friends say "it Fits"
My Internet Access
Buffnet
- more than just a connection

Thanks
