  • MOHR, MOORE, FEITLER. My great-grandfather Henry MOHR emigrated from Holstein, Germany in the mid-1800's. He enlisted in the 5th Iowa cavalry as Henry MOHR, was wounded early on and was discharged because of those wounds as Henry MOORE. As far as I know, Henry spent most of his American life in Jordan, Minnesota. He married Mary FEITLER, another German immigrant and they had four children: John, Henry, Anna (my grandmother) and Joseph. He and Mary both died in their forties and were buried in Jordan, MN. I know of no other relatives and don't even know where two of the sons moved to or whether there are descendants. I only found out the Mohr connection while I was clearing out my mother's effects and found Henry MOHR's civil war records. Any info welcome. Thanks. Barbara Albert, barbalb@itsa.ucsf.edu
