The Mohr Moore Maurer

Post a Query

Please put your Mohr, Moore, Maurer (or variant spelling) ancestor's name and locality in the subject header. Your query will be posted on the web site within 7-10 days, depending on time availability. The more information you include about your ancestor's spouse, children, vital dates & localities, etc., the better your chances of connecting to another researcher on your line.

My many apologies to all who have written me but haven't heard back from me yet. Due to the enormous number of emails I receive and the huge backlog in my mailbox, I've had to temporarily suspend answering emails to get caught up. I'm also evaluating different ways to automate this site for immediate postings. I will continue to add queries and spouse index information to the site, so please keep sending in your queries. I'm not giving up on myself yet! May your research be fruitful!

There is no charge for this. To have your family included in the Mohr One-Name Study, which includes spelling variations, please send additional information on your family tree. Also include your name and postal address, because many people who are not online write to me.

If someone is working on your line, I will send them your postal address and send you theirs. Your postal address will not be published on the web page.

If you have any data about Mohr, Moore or Maurers who are not your ancestors, please send it in for the study. That data might help a fellow researcher who's been searching for 10 or 20 years! You will be credited for your contribution.

For an example, see Paul Glass' contribution of "Mohr Marriages in Ensheim, Saar" in the Research section on the Research & Resources page. (I will put the data into tables.) If we all help each other, we'll make greater progress on our Mohr, Moore, Maurer et al family trees. Thank you.
