BuffNET supports ISDN systems, digital V.90 modems, as well as analog (33.6 Kbs, 28.8 Kbs, 14.4 Kbps and slower) modems. Please Note, you must have an ISDN terminal adapter and ISDN phone service to access BuffNET's ISDN modem pool, otherwise your PPP connection will fail.
If you have a 33.6 or slower analog modem, you will still be able to take advantage of the PAP (password authentication protocol) login procedure and the more "robust" connections possible with our V.90 modems. Your connection speeds will only go as fast as your modem's speed rating.
Select the correct dial-up access number for your connection,
according to your location and modem type, from the list below.
Below is BuffNET's Telephone number matrix -
last revised March 2002. The local access dialup number will
be dependent on your location and your local dialing area.
Please consult
your telephone book or your local telephone access provider
to see which number is local for you. BuffNET will not be
responsible for any long distance charges that may occur if
you choose a non-local number.
