Proxy Setup:
Mac OS / Netscape Communicator 4.x and later


To set the browser to work with the proxy:

  • Click:
    Mac OS Classic - [EDIT] menu and choose [PREFERENCES].
    Mac OS X - [NETSCAPE] menu and choose [PREFERENCES].
  • Double-Click the [ADVANCED] category to open it.
  • Click [PROXIES].
  • Select [MANUAL PROXY CONFIGURATION]
  • In the field [HTTP PROXY], Type the name speed.buffnet.net.
  • In the field [PORT] type the port number you chose from before.
  • [NO PROXY FOR]: Type the domains that you do not want to use a proxy for, separated by a comma. (Example: yourcompany.com, .yourcompany.co.nz)
