Why does my Mac say I'm
"Connected at an unknown rate"?
Solution:
If you get this notice after you've connected
to BuffNET, it means that your Mac is unable to understand the connection
speed information from your modem - typically because the modem
script file is either corrupt or incorrect.
In order to resolve this, you'll need to go back to CONTROL
PANEL, run MODEM then select the correct
script file for your modem.
If you aren't sure what the correct file for your modem should be, consult your modem's manual (if you have one), your Mac's manual, or contact your modem manufacturer or Apple for further assistance.
Since this is a problem with the computer's internal operation, BuffNET cannot and will not do any additional troubleshooting for this problem.
