Internet program (web browser / email / news reader) won't bring up the Dial Up connection

Solution:

This is a function of the dialer inside MS-Windows, not the individual programs.

1. Open <My Computer>

2. Open <Control Panel>

3. Double-click the <Internet Options> icon.

4. Click the <Connection> tab.

5. Activate the option that says:
   "Connect To The Internet As Needed" or "Dial whenever a network connection is nor present"

6. Select the Dial-Up Networking connection that you wish for the autodialer to use and set it as the default

When any TCP/IP application is started, Dial-Up Networking will automatically start.
