BuffNET Setup Instructions for:
MS-Windows XP

MS-Windows XP uses Dial-Up Networking (DUN) to establish a networking (PPP) connection. Unlike the previous editions of MS-Windows (9x / ME / NT), XP has very few 'user serviceable' settings inside. Should you encounter a problem with your connection to BuffNET, the first good solution is simply to create a new dial-up connection.

Note: Some people have encountered problems upgrading from MS-Windows 9x / ME to MS-WindowsXP due to hardware incompatibilities. We at BuffNET strongly urge you to be sure ALL your hardware is compatible with MS-WindowsXP before upgrading to it. If necessary, please visit Microsoft's web site at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/howtobuy/upgrading/ default.asp to find out about upgrading your system. (This link will open in a new window.)
