Configuring MacTCP
(Classic Macintosh Networking)

Click on the Apple Menu in the upper left-hand corner,
select Control Panels and click MacTCP

Highlight the icon for PPP
-
Click More
-
Under Obtain Address select Server
-
In the IP Address area select Class C
-
Under Domain Name Server Information enter the following
information:
-
Domain: buffnet.net
-
IP Address: 205.246.19.12
-
Click Default
-
Domain: .
-
IP Address: 205.246.19.12
-
Domain: .
-
IP Address: 205.246.19.55
-
Click OK, and close the MacTCP window.
You may need to restart the Macintosh for the changes to take effect.
Configuration of TCP/IP
(Open Transport)
Note: If you have multiple dial-up accounts or an
ethernet connection, follow the instructions in the box below to
configure TCP/IP for multiple TCP configurations.

Open the TCP/IP control panel

Click on the File menu and select
Configurations

Your existing TCP/IP configuration should
be named "Default" Highlight it and click Duplicate
-
Name the new configuration BuffNET
and click OK
-
Now with the new configuration highlighted,
click Make Active to continue setting up.

click on the Apple Menu, in the upper left-hand corner,
select Control Panels and click TCP/IP
-
Next to Connect via: select PPP
NOTE: If you are using a different version
of the PPP control panel, i.e. MacPPP or FreePPP, select the
control panel which corresponds to your system

Next to Configure: select the option Using PPP
Server
-
In the Name Server address box type the following numbers:

205.246.19.12
-
205.246.19.55
-
In the Search domains box type buffnet.net
-
Close the TCP/IP window and Save the changes
